Before You Buy Wallpaper, Measure Your Walls
One of the most important steps before buying wallpaper is knowing how much you actually need.
Start by measuring the height and width of each wall you plan to cover. Measure from floor to ceiling and across the entire wall, including areas around doors and windows.
For multiple walls, measure each wall separately rather than assuming they are all the same size. Older homes can have walls with slightly different dimensions.
It's also important to consider the wallpaper's pattern repeat and match. A large or complex pattern may require additional material to line up the design correctly.
Always keep a little extra for trimming, matching, and future repairs.
